KoT waiting list

Until a few minutes ago, I forgot I was on the King of Tone waiting list. Checked the current date, and looks like I still have 6 or 7 months left.

I'm sure there are a million ODs available for 1/4 the price, but I don't care... I'm looking forward to getting one.

I thought about that and looked into it awhile back.
I found the 68 Pedals King of Clone came highly recommended for ~$100.00 American.
And I've always been a 'B' team player with pedals, always looking for the under-represented-but-good-as competition, but that's just me.
But I need a new pedal like I need a hole in my head, so I passed.

"The 68 Pedals King of Clone is an almost exact replica, the best one available too.
Much like the Centura is to the Klon, you can't get it any closer or better (without paying a good amount for the real thing).
Most versions of the 68 come with an internal High & Low switch for both channels, so this kind of wins in my opinion."

I totally get going for the less expensive version, which is basically what I've done my entire life. I did it recently, shopping for a Martin acoustic guitar. Wound up with an Eastman D-28 copy for 25% of the price, and my Martin shopping is over.

However... the KoT is under $300, so I'm going for the real-deal. I don't really need it, just wanna get one.

You're preaching to the choir now, I'm a huge Eastman acoustic fanboy, have 5 of them, and no other acoustics.
I bought all of them used on Reverb.
So take the quality of an Eastman and its retail price, compared to a Taylor or a Martin, then drop that down into the 'used' price market.
I did very, very well.
They're all awesome from tip to toe.

The good news is you can use it for a while and if you don't like it you can sell it and probably double your money. :)

It’s a super-hyped 2 channel OD. They don’t mass produce them, so the waiting list ends up being like 3 years. It’s not a Klon, but the situation around it is similar. Massive hype, probably a million cheaper readily available alternatives, but I’m waiting anyway.

I’ve had one going on 10 years. Really like it with single coils.
The prince of tone is good, available, and cheaper.

I like to run the prince on clean into the king.

You guys should check out some of the wait times people do for multi-thousand dollar instruments on TalkBass and SevenString.org. They’ll drop $3-5k with a small builder, then wait a couple years for it to be finished.
