Kramer Focus 6000

I need some opinions for a humbucker for my kramer focus at the bridge. I have vintage rail at the neck, ssl-1 in the middle. Currently have a tone zone at the bridge. The pickup is not good from the manufacturer and had it with dimarzio customer service. So, I play moslty blues, classic rock. Looking for a warm, buttery clean sound that sounds good clean and with some distortion. Not a biting treble tone. Thanking you in advance.

Most will chime in with the Custom Custom. It will work fine but, The PATB-3 will work wonders. Plus, the PATB has a bit lower output and will mix with the singles better. I have experience with both the PATB-3 and the CC. Most that suggest the CC will only have experience with the CC.

I have a Focus 6000 and have a Custom 8 in it. Thats a Custom modified with an alnico 8 magnet. Its amazing for leads. HOWEVER, based on what you said you prefer, the Custom Custom will give you a warm buttery mid range loaded sounded. But the PATB3 will give you warmth and a huge full sound. Not aggressive huge, but full.. The PATB3 is an amazing pickup. It isnt too hot to push your amp into overdrive quickly, but it sounds so big and full. Almost, dare I say it, like a warmed up tone zone. Only less bottom end.

And the PATB-3 still retains a very tight bottom end and clarity that the TZ, CC, and other warm and or fat pickups lack.
