Kramer Nightswan middle humbucker

I recently picked up a Kramer Nightswan. Its got a JB in both the bridge and middle positions (there’s no neck pickup). I find the middle JB sounds muddy. Is there a different pickup I could put in the middle position that would be less-muddy sounding and give me more of a neck pickup kind of tone?

I suggest to try a Duncan '59 bridge. However you will need to check if there is space to fit long-leg humbucker. A lot of guitars will not have enough depth in the pickup routing to fit the long-leg baseplate on the Duncan '59.

A Jazz would probably be a better choice. I'd go with the neck position version.

Sounding like a broken record, but Full Shred maybe?

I think the originals came with one, but I can’t remember if it was in the same position or the bridge.

Drop in a Screamin Demon in the middle, mine are rated at 10.20k ohms or a Bill Lawrence XL-500 that wound below 11.50k ohms.
