Warren Parker @ Southeast Guitars does some damn fine work (yes...I know...it's common knowledge, goes w/o saying, hard cold fact :stooges: ) and the wood is some lovely looking Mahogany. I am really looking forward to this one. It'll be getting either a Tru-Oil or Nitrocellulose finish, PGBJ/SDS-1/TB4J Pickups, Top Mount OFR, Black Hardware...

Thanks! I've done the Tru-Oil and spray painted and I've got Nitro left over from another project that wound up getting sold of so I'll have to practice on something to see how it dries, sands, buffs, etc.

You stole most of my idea lol! I was thinking of doing a flat top LP w/ a top mount Floyd. The only thing I was thinking of doing different was getting a Warmoth conversion neck so the scale would 24 3/4.

It does look really good though! Def gives me some ideas. I need to finish on what I'm working on first though!

ESP already has those, unless you enjoy the DIY part. See links below.

Looks really nice dude! congrats, and I look forward to seeing it finished!

Re: Kramer / Southeast Guitars Project Forthcoming...

Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. Just gotta Tru-Oil it a few coats, let it dry thoroughly, sand, buff and then off for assembly/set up.

That sounds like a nice project 9FINGER. I'll look fwd to seeing that one in the future.

Personally..I dig the "Project" Process as I wind up with EXACTLY what I want in the guitar.

By the way, that body is really nice. The flame really popped when you oiled it. I keep looking at the unoiled and can kinda/sorta see the flame, and then look at how awesome the oiled looks. Good job!

I may have to try a project one of these days. They look fun!

SHCWEEET dude!!!

I'm impressed.

The "Man of Music" body looks cool too!

I had an old Ibanez S540 a few year back, like this one... http://cgi.ebay.com/1992-Ibanez-S54...n-/230606364614?pt=Guitar&hash=item35b135dfc6 and I really liked the tone of it even w/the stock Ibanez USA H/S/H Pickups, as it had plenty of cutting power and definition due to the Maple Board but without being treble heavy and still retained warmth/bottow due to the Mahogany. It was a nice combo.

There are a few of the newer Charvel "Oiled Natural Series" Guitars that use Maple Neck/Fretboard & Mahogany Body....

I'm debating pickups still...either 1989 Gibson "The Original" HB-R Neck/Bill Lawrence OBL "Made In Germany" 450 Dual Rails SC Middle/1989 Gibson "The Original" HB-L Bridge...or...Seymour Duncan PGBJ 8.22K Neck/1978 DiMarzio SDS-1 10K/Seymour Duncan TB4J 17.68K.

Ran into a minor delay...

Ran into a minor delay...

as I am having to have the Neck HB routed out a little more to accomodate the long legs on the PGBJ and the Middle S/C slot routed a little deeper to accomodate the depth of the 1978 DiMarzio SDS-1.

Suppose to have it back on Wednesday then I can get the Oil Finish Completed and hopefully have it all together and playing in a couple weeks.

Re: Kramer / Southeast Guitars Project Forthcoming...

Not sure if the cream middle pickup will look good, but I have yet to see the guitar finished. Looking forward to it !
