Re: Krank amps back in business

I liked some of their designs for sure.

I think the problem with them is in the back office... I fear they will tank again, especially considering that their current website looks straight out of 1994. They seem to build good amps but not a good business.

Right there with ya. IF I was looking for an amp for teh brootalz... it would be Mesa, Engl, Diezel, H&K, Bogner, VHT, or several other brands over a Krank. But more power to them for "Kranking" the assembly line back up. If the market will support it... then more choices for people is always a good thing.

Tony never stops, awesome. Still want to check out his 1980.

What's the Cliff's Notes back story? Did he get forced out of his own company or something?

From what I understand tony gave 100 percent control of krank over to an investor. They had a falling out. Tony left krank and years later the investor closed up because he didn't give a **** about krank. That's why after 2009 you never really heard or seen much from krank.

Re: Krank amps back in business

Please bring the 1st gen Krankenstein back.

The 100W model, not the later 120W unit.

There's 2 amp names that come to mind that I won't even try just because of the name... A Tweaker, or anything Krank... They may be awesome amps but I will never know... Avoid the meth, kiddos.

I used to rock a krank rev 1.
Mutha shook the concrete foundation!

For the brootalz and the drop tuned I really loved that amp.

Re: Krank amps back in business

I had a Rev SST that was pretty cool. I'd like to see some more hybrid stuff, or maybe some recording preamps.

I don't know if you are being serious or not, but that's a pretty silly reason to not try an amp.
