From my limited experience they aren't bad amps but I felt they lacked character. Its a good though I would say somewhat generic sounding metal amp.
A Mesa sounds like a Mesa, a Marshall sounds like a Marshall, an Engl sounds like an Engl and so forth but the Krank just didn't really have anything to set it apart to my ears.
Its a very focused and aggressive tone, not much sag, a bit fizzy. One of the less tube sounding tube amps I've played, though I guess for the style they are shooting for its not that big of factor.
I don't know, me personally, if I'm spending that type of money on a head, I want some character and vibe for my money
