Not much to add here, but I had a Marshall 9000 series power amp converted to KT88's and it was phenomenal. It's like if you told an EL34 that it had to get bigger and sound more like a 6L6, but it got mad and turned into the incredible hulk instead and killed you.


Here's the wizard attempting to turn an EL34 into a 6L6. The dragon is the KT88.
