La Brea neck for the neck and middle w/ Phat Cat bridge?

A recent purchase (Fender Sixty-Six) has two covered tele pickups in the neck and middle, and I'm thinking bout upgrading to the above combo. Any thoughts on this? I assume the La Brea can be used in neck and middle, but wondering how theyll mix? Think I'll get that 4th position quack?

And will the phat cat be a good and balanced partner?

Any other suggestions also appreciated!

Yeah, true single coils will quack together. A Phat Cat would be a good choice for the bridge I would say. As long as at least 1 of the pups has some single coilness to it, the notch position will quack imo. Just a different flavor of quack not identical to 2 strat pups.

I find most tele pickups much more interesting than the phat cat. Never got along with the phat cat. i'd get the La Brea set for neck and bridge and a la brea Neck for the middle (or the vintage rhythm 54 or whatever it's called).
