Lackluster tone: Bad piece of wood vs. other components

Re: Lackluster tone: Bad piece of wood vs. other components

Check to make sure all the pots are up to spec. One that reads low can suck the life out of your pickups. I traded a set of Seth Lovers into a new PRS like one I had worn out, and they lost all their magic. I tested the pots and one volume metered below 250 (supposed to be 500). Switching it out fixed the issue.

I'll admit that I've been using Chinese pots, so it's very possible that those are the culprit. I'll have the multimeter out tonight, might as well check this while I'm at it.
