Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time...

Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time...

That is really looking good. It wouldn't hurt if you put a little bit in the control and pick up cavity's to seal up the wood in there as well.

I plan on it, the next coat will see those sealed! They will also be protected by copper shielding

Mine aren't any better bro, Why didnt you twist the wires together? That helps with shielding the noise out too.

Didn't think about that... Next time I suppose. I was in a hurry to hear how she sounded :)

Hey,
That is Beautiful! I'm inexperienced in the ways of finishing, I think Dominus had a great one about spray finishing a little while ago. Forgive me if it was someone else. But do you hand rub every coat of Tru Oil on, and when it dries is it just as impervious to skin oils and such as an enamel spray type of finish? And also, did the frets come or did you install them? The neck is a thing of beauty. Those frets look like the biggest ones you can get, the 6100's or something like that.
Sorry to pepper you with questions, I hope you don't mind. Thanks in advance.

The frets are 130 medium jumbo frets, I do in fact hand rub the oil! It is waterproof, hardens the wood and is impervious to other oils. I had the frets installed beforehand btw. Thank you very much!

Good choice going for a back mount, makes it even more "Your Own"! Good thing I didn't bet money on the frets, they just looked so cool.
