Welcome to the forum Zager.
I'll stay out of the Class A discussion and take it you are looking for a "smaller" tube amp.
Prior to the LionHeart, which is really Laney taking a shot at the boutique market (you can't blame them), there was the LC15, LC15R and the VC15.
The 30 watt Laney's LC and VC are really more like 50 watt amps as they are very very loud, so if you are talking about smaller tube amps I would leave these out.
The VC15 has a better build quality than the LC15 and LC15R (reverb added). But, this year Laney did redesign the LC15 and LC30 and I haven't seen inside of these new ones, so the new models could be different in regards to quality. The LC15 is really not in the image of the LC30 as the LC30 is a pretty high gain modern sounding amp. The LC15 isn't a high gain amp, but more of a classic sounding amp. To blur that line even more the VC series is more classic sounding also, somewhat along the lines of the VOX AC series. The blurring of the line actually occurs at the 15 watt level between the LC15 and the VC15, as one would ask yourself if 2 classic sounding amps are needed. Another difference is the VC15 comes in bluesbreaker form, top access to the controls, and the LC15's controls are on the front.
The LC15 usually can be had for $100 or so less than the VC15, so you may be led your own pocketbook on that one. I expect most are going to want to play with different speakers and tubes as the expectation should be for any amp that is of lower end cost.
Also, the LC15 and VC15 are small fixed-biased amps, meaning they have to be set to a particular bias as there isn't a cathode keeping the bias within a certain range. These amps are my example to every internet techie who says "all small amps are cathode biased" or "small amps don't need to be biased". Taking things for granted can cost money in repairs.
Generally think of Laney amps as being of the hot-rodded Marshall flavor, with a mids-emphasis a little bit lower.
PS. I have a modded LC15.
