Yessiree, the dude knows his stuff. My Mesa 2:90 was blowing line fuses on a regular basis and it was really bothering me. I also couldn't let my amp go to the authorized Mesa dealers in the area, they are both backed up 4-6 weeks and expensive. Expensive I don't mind so much but I'm a working musician and I need my rig.
I had seen his work in the past and I let him work on my Marshall JCM 800 (another great job - 6550 to EL34 conversion) but my Mesa is my baby. Shoot, the rack I carry it around in costs as much as some amps, and I mean nice amps too.
He opened it up and with some poking around, a couple readings and a tragic tail of how this amp got run without one of the speakers plugged in he discovered the problem. Bad screen resistors.
Okay, replacing screen resistors isn't exactly rocket science but he got it done in record time, I suffered no down time and he charged me less than I have paid for a bad date.
