The textures are beautiful, love the dreamy feel. Great FX on the vocals... Long ago there was a show called Twin Peaks, done by David Lynch. This reminds me of something I would have heard from that show... At 18, you are tapping into true freedom as a composer, great to hear... I would not mind a lil more of the drums, but it certainly did not get in the way of me enjoying the track....

I agree, drums should be louder, heh vocals sound pitchcorrrrrrrected but enjoyable, inspiring

best thing to do is listen to similar stuff to compare when your mixing it

Musically that is definitely the koolest thing I've heard of yours yet....Vocals totally sound like the dude from tears for fears (which could be good or bad depending on what you think of tears for fears)....
Try turning the vocals down a bit and redoing the eq though, when they come in they're really over powering and sorta ruins everything else thats going on....I'd suggest leaving the mids alone...boosting the highs around 6K on up (maybe 5db), drop the lows down a bunch below 200Hz (-3/4db), or mess with it till it sounds good sits in the mix and isn't sooo over powering.

Reminds me strongly of the solo work of ex-Japan frontman, David Sylvian. Specifically, his second album, "Gone To Earth". (Robert Fripp and Bill Nelson guested on selected songs.)

+1 for the drums needing to be louder but still unobtrusive. (Roll off some top end and go for an Early Reflections reverb treatment.) They need to be felt more than heard, if that makes sense.

Without wishing to seem negative or derogatory, the vocals need more "personality". Sylvian, for example, has a trickbag full of vocal nuances that he uses to good effect. His voice is immediately recognisable. I'm not suggesting that you hit the whisky and ciggies. Just turn up the compression and "work" the vocal mic a little harder.
