Listen to these guys, they've got good pointers. Machine is a really improvised song as you know, with an arsenal of effects but more importantly lots of feeling. It'd be hard to play a song like that, without feeling. But as for a tab, Guitarport has the entire song tabbed out, I suggest you get it, it has lots of different tabs. Good luck, though I'd love to see the look on you're peer's faces when you guitar is screeching and they're thinking, "Wtf Mate?" haha I'm not discouraging you, but if I were you I would play Purple Haze, Hey Joe, or especially Little Wing. I think Machine Gun is more of a song you'd like to fool around playing, but then again man if your mind is set on it go for it!

I learned Purple Haze within the first months i was playing, easy song. and Hey Joe years ago, and ive recently learned Little Wing full way throughm ive been playing alot of SRV(pride and joy), with no difficulty on the rhythmic parts and solos, i always put "feeling" into whatever i play. And, I KNOW Machine Gun is impossible to play it front to back, and i KNOW its beetter to improvise in alot of parts, i wasnt saying i was going to learn it note for note, but moreso the whole picture and improvise myself. Anyway thanks for the help yall.

In Guitar World presents Quitar Legends #57 there is the tab that you want(Filmore East 12/31/69). It says that he tuned down almost one whole step, DGCFAD, slightly sharp.

He used a vox wah, fuzz face, octavia and uni-vibe according to them.

If you can wait a couple of days I can scan it for you. It's 13 pages!

I heard he used the tremlo springs on the bck of his strat too...not sure how though hahahahahah

I forgot to mention, this isnt something im going to do in a week, its something that i have 5 months to accomplish, and at the end i present. I thnk thats plenty of time, considering i practice every day at least 5 hours, if i put that towards only one song, and i know i have the ability, i dont see why i couldnt put it together, and be able to improvise solos to it by the end?
