leather straps : yay or nay?

Re: leather straps : yay or nay?

i just use plain old nylong straps, or cloth. I dont like leather its too thick and uncomfortable. It takes too much breaiking in

Re: leather straps : yay or nay?

Nothing feels better than a well broken in leather strap!!!

Re: leather straps : yay or nay?

yeah, it's leather all the way-most comfortable type of strap. It's just really wide, firm, but not straining on the shoulders.

Re: leather straps : yay or nay?

Of course they are, comfort is a HUGE factor in playability. Leather delivers.

Re: leather straps : yay or nay?

I have one thats plain black leather on top but colorfast nylon on the bottom, so it looks cool but doesn't grab at your shirt, bleed on your shirt, its durable, and its less expensive!

who manufactures it B2D? sounds like a great combo.

I like cloth ones most.. I've got a simple black cloth Fender strap with leather ends on my Strat and it's just fine...

Re: leather straps : yay or nay?

I use either leather straps or (when I ´m strapped for cash) Ernie Ball nylon straps ;)

Re: leather straps : yay or nay?

I have a nylon one... always meant to get a leather one cos my 335 is VERY headstock-heavy and keeps slipping down, but I'm so used to playing it with the right lower arm pushing the body of the guitar into me that playing with a "sticky" leather strap would be wierd...

Re: leather straps : yay or nay?

My main guitar (LP) has a DiMarzio Locking strap.
My other guitar (RG) has a padded leather strap with schaller lockers.

I actually like the DiMarzio a bit more - it feels smoother on my shoulder and is longer.
