The more the merrier, I have no vendetta against Lee or anyone. It's just about getting everyone to "play" instead of just talking about it. Any and all are welcome!
I get "schooled" every time I hear Les Paul play (or Albert Lee) but I have no intentions of quitting, just practice more!

I hate being shown up by teenagers. Ageism seems the best option here. Over 21s only thanks.
I think it's metal - but I'm not sure.
I'll have a go at anything.

Well, so far we've gotten nowhere really fast.....
Anyone have any clue as to how to "host" the SD forum "open invitation metal jam"...?...edit: doesn't necessarily have to be "metal", anything will work...would hate for anyone to feel left out.

how do you mean host?
someone needs a downloadable track, then everyone does their versions and someone sticks it together - thats the way they usually work i think.
if you need somewhere to put something online soundclicks a good free one, if its working
if needs be i can be the one to stick em all together, i'm willing to

How about this one. This is one I played to straight off - no rehearsal, no second take.
I'll do a better job if you want another try at it?
This take is a bit 'sloppy'.
Is it a 'goer'?

So does this mean that if we do get a metal back-track that the aspiring musicians under 21 cannot post their feable attempts at doing some lead work? I'd probably be a little embarased 'cause I'm not 1/2 as good as anyone here, but I would still post it for fun....

It's a lil thing going on between Lee and a couple of the younger members, Nuntius and Diminished... because they're so bloddy good.
In fact, I'm inspired by these two guitarists and have been working on improving technique (I've got no song material I want to learn today)... =) Thanks guys!

If we want a metal track, I downloaded a 25 second rhythm track to soundclick.

It's listed as duncanmetal_rhythm. My solo is listed as duncanmetal_chucksolo. I uploaded at 1 p.m. eastern coast U.S. time.
I'm assuming it'll be available soon (first time out doing the soundclick gig).
