I am gonna be putting new electronics in my fender and I am gonna be using the wiring diagram on seymour's website. Do I just mirrow the wiring diagram so it will work. How do I do it.

Re: lefty wiring help

is it sss hsh or hss? just make sure you have the right diagram. like three single's 1 volume 1 tone and a 5 way. and copy it.

Re: lefty wiring help

Sorry, I am doing a lefty Fender American Standard with an HH setup, 1 volume, 2 tone, 5 way switch Thanks

Re: lefty wiring help

go by that. look up, hh 1 vol. 2 tone and a 5 way. copy what you see on your ax. should be right.

Re: lefty wiring help

Why would you need to mirror anything?

It's just that the 3 pots and the 3/5-way would be on the right instead of the left side of the (reversed) pickguard but that's it.

Everything else will be exactly the same.

Re: lefty wiring help

If you go thru the wiring diagrams on the site scroll thru the humbucker list and go to 2 humbuckers, 1 volume, 2 tone, 5 way with splits. That's the diagram I am gonna be using. My question is do I have to solder it differently or use the diagram the way it is.

Re: lefty wiring help

EXACTLY the way it is, lead for lead, screw for screw.

Lefties instruments are a Righty instrument mirrored in everything BUT the electronics.
The only thing different with the electronics is their position (NOT orientation) in relevance to the strings.

EVERYTHING else remains exactly the same (after all, electricity doesn't understand about lefty or righty)
