G&L's Comanche is an example of a guitar using these pickups. I'm not sure if G&L use these pickups on any other strat-like guitar. As for a tele-like guitar they are used on the G&L ASAT Z3. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/gl-asat-z3-figured-maple-top-guitar
The Z coil pickups are supposed to be Leo Fender's last work. If you've owned, played or heard these pickups enough to explain their sound and any difference compared to traditional/classic single coil pickups, I would appreciate your sharing your opinions and experiences.
I've also noticed the G&L guitars don't seem to float in price as high or near many of the Fender guitars, and I was wondering is it just because they are not from the Custom Shop and relic'd or are there other hardware reasons?
