Les Paul Bridge and saddle placement

Mine came from the factory with the saddle screwheds pointed towards the headstock.
The Saddles were set up kinda weird, the E, A and D saddles have the straight side towards the bridge and the G, B and e saddles the other way.

I'm not shure what is the proper way. Is there even a proper way or are there just different styles to set it up? I've seen more Epi's set up like this but also one's that have all the saddles with the straight side of the saddle towards the headstock (which makes the most sense to me).

I've tried to find anything on this topic on this forum or on the net but to no avail. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

The way it is now is "traditional". You can turn either set of 3 around, but the high strings intonate better, or rather the proper intonation is more likely to be within the range, the way it is ;)

Right, I didn't think of that yet! :smack:
I'll just keep it 'traditional' then.
Thanks!

I still wonder why some LP's are set up different since every one of them has basicly the same specs. Is the tolerance that big?
