Les Paul Custom Tom Sholz Guitar at/around 5k+?

[Diminished Triad]

The MSRP is just under 10K although those getting in first seemed to have bought the Sholz signature guitar for under 5k and are selling it for somewhere over 5k.
If going for about 5k, do you guys think it might be worth it now?

You can never predict the market on those overpriced signature guitars...

Sometimes they sell out fast then the prices skyrocket and sometimes they sit on shelves an the prices just keep dropping...

No way of really knowing.

Thanks so much. I've seen the E Clapton Fender go up in price i the last year or two so was a little surprised the Tom Sholz signature started high and might be going for 5k now if you are able to deal with one of those that got in during the limited offer.

Only if it has Zephyr Silver pickups installed and has been demoed on YouTube on April 20th.

I know, right? Been reading on the forum here how the Zephs are turning out to be as good as Seymour Duncan promised. I've still had to rely upon the internet to hear but yesterday a great guitar player from this area returned home from the mainland/states and was telling us he played a guitar with the Zephs and they were incredible. Of course one man's "incredible" is another's ____ so who knows until you try for yourself.

Based on the specs he prefers, I cannot imagine liking the necks on those axes.

LesStrat, can you explain what you mean by the specs Sholz prefers?
Not interested if the neck is not my preference but always want to learn about what the specs might be you are referring to.

I think they are going for about 5kish now, definitely more interested than when they were first announced at almost 10k!

Bumping..............wondering about "the specs Sholz prefers" - d0 you know if he likes low/high action or other features that are different from standard Les Paul?

I can't say I know anything about Tom Scholz, but visually it doesn't appeal greatly. This however...
