A friend of mine just bought an Epiphone Les Paul and, of course, he's thinking about changing pickups. He's no noob, but his main thing are strats. So, he asked me some help and I'm asking you guys.
Here's some information:
He's a vintage guy, and likes to play things like Clapton, Zeppelin, BB King and other things like that. Here are some characteristics that he expect from the pickups and what he's searching about tone:
Clean: clear, defined, rounded and fat
Crunch: Eric Clapton Bluesbreaker era style
Lead: Slash
I know he's asking for a lot of different things, but can you help me?
ps: He's open to magnet swapping and he's planning to buy a 335 style guitar which he will put a pair of seths in it. So, maybe he doesn't want to have 2 guitars with the same pickups.
Thank you!
Edit: The pickups have to be covered...
