Re: les paul huge sound

He's meaning the SH5 duncan custom with a ceramic mag

The SH5 duncan custom is a beefed up PAF has more sizzle to the trebles colder midrange and more growl in the low end.

The SH11 custom custom is the same thing but with an Alnico 2 magnet for smoother highs and lows (more of a buttery spongy sound) and more midrange than a custom due to the decreased low and highs.

Re: les paul huge sound

which combo would be better custom (b) 59 (n) or
jb(b) 59(n) ???????
also are seymour duncan better than gibson stock pups ?? or should i go with seymour duncan instead of gibson stock???? gibson stock pups are 498R and 496T i think or something like that they came from a real gibson custom les paul , they are installed in my epi les paul standard honeyburst

Re: les paul huge sound

Huge in a Les Paul is definitely a Dimarzio Super Distortion.

I've had many pickups in my Les Paul...the biggest was that one IMO.

Re: les paul huge sound

hey stevo u play cool man , u just need to get out of that band or get another singer man lol that guy sucks

Re: les paul huge sound

I had a Tone Zone in the bridge of my Les Paul- THAT was huge, bigger than the Superdistortion. The problem was it was almost too huge, (through a Marshall) not muddy, but just too much, like Tony Iommi's tone on the last Black Sabbath live Reunion CD's.

Tone Zone is definitely huge, but at that point you start to trade in clarity for hugeness at that point.
