Les Paul lovers

Re: Les Paul lovers

Guess I'm more of a traditionalist. I like my 73 Goldtop and this tasty cherry...

Re: Les Paul lovers

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to Les Pauls, except I cannot STAND the Heritage Cherry Sunburst....too many of them look like clown bursts. I will say that if you can find one that is done just right, it does look killer. I also don't like dark tobacco bursts with the edges completely darkened out. I like bursts that fade gradually and evenly.

Honey burst
Light burst
Ice Tea burst
Vingage Burst
Faded Tobacco burst
Goldtop

Not a fan of black, but it looks right on SOME guitars. I used to love trans amber, but like the transition of a burst as I get older.

Wierd.

Re: Les Paul lovers

I pretty much like em all, except that new gecko one. :smack:

Re: Les Paul lovers

Mine's a traditional LP Custom (Ebony), but I love a nice Lemon Drop burst, or deep amber burst.

Oops! I forgot that I've already posted a while ago. I hate when that happens :laugh2:

Wine red for a studio

(What the ...., I can't find a nice picture of my guitar on my hard drive!!!)

Honey burst and trans amber for a standard

Re: Les Paul lovers

Are those different colored ball ends a new Daddario thing? I used to use their strings in the late '80s-early '90s and never got anything but the plain brass ones.

Re: Les Paul lovers

mine is wine red, which i'm fond of... red guitars are kinda "my thing"

i could go for an alpine white though

also, if i had money to burn and not be original, i like the zakk bullseye for some reason :smack:

That and that God awful Cream Latte or whatever the hell it's called. We saw one of those at a music store in Santa Barbara and I wanted to wipe my ass with it.

Re: Les Paul lovers

I've had a disgusting number of Gibson Les Pauls, and loved all of them. I still have a Flametop Honeyburst that's pretty damn cool. I liked a "sweet cherry" that I saw recently ( not that really bright stuff they put on cherrybursts ). Lemonburst has to be right up there. I had a wineburst that was pretty awesome.
