It depends on which pickup you have in which guitar.

With my Epi, I use the neck tone control from time to time and the bridge tone all the time.

On the Gibby, I got rid of the neck tone, got a brighter A5 490R. Still use the tone control with the bridge pup though.

Neck permanently rolled off to 7, bridge will fluctuate between 6 and 10. But then, I tend to keep the tone on all my guitars backed off to at least 8 unless I want a really bright sound.
