Les Paul Standard - colours??

Hey guys, I was just looking at the new-ish LP colours and just wondered f anyone had ever seen the iced tea or cayenne colours?

But fairly average here -

But I've seen it in various other pics not looking so hot. Anyone seen these colours? I'm hoping like hell the cayenne is like the one at Willcutts cause thats exactly the colour I want when I (eventually) buy one.

hehe. the best les paul colours in the world can be glimpsed by taking a normal chery sunburst and inverting the colours. if anyoune could make that i would buy it and frame it!!

I think they all look nice but the art department obviously did some work to the pictures.

I see it alot in pics of all kinds on the internet, especially on pics of guitars and women but it happens on all things visual. Artwork on the net is often cleaned up to the point that pics start to look like a cross between real life and animation. Once you digitize a pic to the point that it has zero flaws or worse change its natural dimensions to make it somehow more pleasing visually it loses it's natural beauty.

Women are supposed to have freckles and guitars often have mineral streaks, it's part of their beauty.

Robby makes a good point. But in your case, I hope that you get the one with the top like the first link's. WOW!!

Oh, and are you sure you have the right Iced Tea finished LP? I thought it was more a soft brown fading into a dull yellowish color...like iced tea? That looks more like a light Cherry Sunburst.

I think the best color scheme for a Les Paul is the Heritage Cherry Sunburst. :smoker:

My Les Paul Standard is in lightburst. When I went to the store to buy it, I saw the Heritage cherry and the outer ring looked too much of a dark red for my taste. Then I saw the Light Burst and that was perfect for me. I am glad I bought the Light burst instead of heritage cherry, although both are veryy nice.

My new favorites are the new Manhattan blue and Coral Reefe blueish green.
If I were rich, I'd buy a different colored Les Paul every other month. :laugh2:

I honestly like all the LP finishes. Well, except for that new cheesecake color and Geckoburst. I little too happy for me.
