Les Paul tone control wiring

Hello. I want to modify the way my tone controls are wired in my Les Paul but am unsure of how to do it. It currently has the stock factory wiring (it’s a 2004 Custom Shop ’57, for what it’s worth), and I want to turn the neck pickup’s tone control into a master tone control and replace the bridge tone pot with a CTS push-pull pot from StewMac (I have a few of these sitting around: http://www.stewmac.com/Pickups_and_...s/Potentiometers/CTS_Push-pull_Pots_SPST.html ) just for the purpose of using its push-pull feature to turn the tone control on and off (pulled up takes the tone control out of the circuit). How do I do this? (Thanks in advance!)

Re: Les Paul tone control wiring

Individual controls are before the pickup selector switch. Master controls go between the pickup selector switch and the jack.

Just have the push-pull lift the ground of the tone pot when pulled.

I don't know about the CTS pushpull, but most of them I have seen are 2 switches in one. If this is the case you could keep the 2 tones and use the PP part to switch out both tone circuits.

Re: Les Paul tone control wiring

You'll lose one of the LP's signature tones,ie the neck with all the tone rolled off.
I would consider turning the bridge tone into a master vol,
