Yep, it works. Cool crunchy tone. What guitar and amp?

Thanks Joe. It was the Soldano POD XTL Model. 25 watt greenbacks off axis. The 800 clips dont sound as good...fuzzier...but thats all relative as those sound pretty bad too :D I'm def NOT set up for any kind of serious recording.

Oh and I used my Black LP std......Burst Bucker Pros...

KMC.. glad someone recognized MITS :D I still can't really figure out how to record, LOL....not sure I could record the backing track? (I don't have any recording software..just used the windows sound recorder...very limiting..60 seconds of time...low quality sound...clips easy... It would be nice to have the backing track though so I could actually play with some sort of timing.... I think I'll set up my metronome :D

When I have some more time, I'll try to get up a few more and actually care about not making mistakes and making it sound better :D

Wow, nice tone from the POD. I like that. I like the sound of goof1 a lot. Very open and crunchy. Your playing isn't bad. Good solid rhythm.

Thanks Bro :) Yeah the Soldano model sounds pretty good! The 800 sounds better "live" but is a bit too fuzzy recorded. I'll throw up a short clip of that tonite or tomorrow nite. Last nite i got a decent clip of the opening chord thing of 2 minutes to Midnite with the faded standard while trying to compare it to Blackie and get a better tone out of the 800..I'll let y'all be the judge tho cos I think I'm getting to the point where I can't really tell cos my ears are confused :D

I've got some firebird clips too...honestly, it sounds as good as the paulas..big and fat......just doesn't have the sustain or complexity in the mids

I wanna here the Bird. You got me gassing for one and I just noticed, as much as I go to their site I can't believe I missed it, that Warmoth sells Firebird bodies. :32: Now that would be an awesome project. They even offer the raised center as an option.

Yeah but it would be a bolt on, right? ....might as well just play a strat, then? (nothing wrong with that, just saying tonally it won't be the same)

As I've said before, it's still "all Gibson"..basically like an Explorer..not quite as fat , but def bigger & fatter than an SG/Flying V.

Yeah, it would be but so what. I wouldn't care. So long as I get a mahogany body and mahogany neck. I've played some all mahogany Warmoth projects that sound just as good as set-neck ones do.

I've got a Tele and LP Jr. project spec'd out right now so those would be first anyway. I just have to choose which one...lol. The only problem with the Bird project is that Warmoth doesn't have a Bird headstock option and the only one that would look decent, to me anyway, is a reverse Explorer headstock, or reverse hockeystick?

Ehh, don't matter. I don't have the money to spend anyway....lol. Gotta get the homemade going again and then do the Tele.

Dont get me wrong, I'm sure it WOULD sound just as good..just not quite "the same".

Ugh...it just wouldn't look right without the bird headstock IMO (and honestly I don't even care much for the classic bird headstock regardless of the banjo tuners..it's too big) but yes, I agree, I think I'd go a reverse Explorer or Kramer if those were my only 2 choices.

I'll filter through my clips and see what I have of the Bird..I made a couple and then broke a string and just grabbed the paula the night I was doing all that recording.
