Lets get to the nitty gritty of EQ pedals

Re: Lets get to the nitty gritty of EQ pedals

I don't quite understand this.

A clean boost into a saturating amp will produce more overdrive.

Setting an EQ as a treble boost or as a mid boost will give you a different "flavour" of dirt from your amp.

I can't see why that's inherently undesirable?

I don't really have a scientific or technical explanation of why, but I've never had any luck with that. Your results may vary, of course.

I have no love for Behringer PERIOD. Sorry, but I find their products and business practices to be generally awful.

i also don't like the idea on how they copy things.. but thier prices is just so reasonable for me, well that's just me.

anyway have you tried their mini rack 9-band EQ before?

The problem with behringer in regards to pedals is that I see pedals taking more than the normal amount of abuse than most other components....they stay on the floor and you step on them.

I just can't comprehend how with the horror stories I've heard of their quality I would consider having one on my board.

They do inexpensive...and they do it well....but they do it for a trade-off.

Dude, a post or two, is acceptable, but this is turning into a hijack of the purest form.

My expectations may have been too high, buy I thought we could have an end-all discussion on eq's. I think you need a Behringer thread. No offense.

I tried out the KFK some more today. I actually plugged both eq's into my chain, cause I don't have an AB. I wasn't finding much difference man. In saying this, i"m not saying the KFK is worse than the DOD, just not any better so far.

Any EHX Graphic Fuzz guys out there? I like to hear someone's take on that pedal.

How much is Behringer paying you to shill for their products on here?

I'll give you double to shut up. ;) :D
