Let's review MY pedalboard!

Apart from what the others said, I think if you swapped the Zoom for an MS3 (not much more money) using the 4 cable method you would be able to have patches that included:
- onboard effects in the loop
- onboard effects before the preamp
- amp channel and boost (is it that model?)
- two of the three pedals you have (let’s say wah and synth9 since it looks like the pitchfork is always in

So if now you have to change the amp channel, boost, change patch on the zoom, turn of synth 9 - Instead of 4 taps it would be one.

I use 4 cable (or 3 cable and a wireless).

The M3 could work. I just happen to prefer the Zoom for the ability to go into patch mode where not works like a pedal board with 3 effects.

I only use the dirt channel, and there is a boost switch on the channel switcher for the amp. Part of why I got the Stiletto instead of the 2555.

I'm game for the roast....

Zoom Digital!?! Into a decent Mesa! Then into a Marshall?? What in the actual **** Bob? Ha ha ha
pick a brand!!

The minute someone Sponsors me!

Kudos for the Mesa and or Marshall...

Damn straight. As much as LLL calls me the Earle Schieb of tone, a Duncan Custom in an LP style into that on tight gain (with not too much gain) is a pretty righteous sound. On two occasions I had soundmen say "no no - I'll mic that cab. Sounds fantastic!"

But the one sideways pedal just looks like you gave up on things.... maybe it's like "mini me" from Austin Powers, when Goldmember says he's too shhmall and doesn't understand....

See above

is there a noise gate somewhere in all that digital polyphonic nonsense?

See above

Get a vacuum to all the dog or cat hair and I'll give you back a point for having 2 ehx pedals together at least they're in the same family...

I too am shocked at the two EHX pedals. Not an EHX guy generally speaking. But they do what I need well.

All right...wipe it down. I'm getting the message. But it doesn't effect the tone, and we are a "hair" band so it is on brand...

Points for having your cables tucked away nice and cleanly.

I recently swapped white zip ties for black, just to coordinate color-wise

.....and for the love of wet panties!

Panties are in the tip bucket. Seriously...want to see them?

Where in the hell is the dirt box? How do you have a pedal board without a dirt box!!!
That's what pedal boards were made to do...hold distortion pedals!

You know, for a long time I had a Joyo US Dream, A vintage 80's Rat, or my Proco Solo on there "just in case" I wanted a 3rd distortion sound, or the lead channel blew or squeezed or whatever. I never used it.

I have a hard time believing you would have a board with fewer than three delay pedals. :D

When using individual pedals, I had 4 delays.

That pedal can have up to 7 delays x 100 patches. Just as few of my delays in there...

1. Intro/solo to Rock you like a hurricane delay
2. Spacey long Welcome to the Jungle slide interlude delay
3. Talk dirty verse-chorus delay + end solo licks delay
4. Nothing But a Good Time solo delay
5. Panama rhythm/lead delay
6. Ain't talking' Bout love slap delay
7. Short metallic crunch rhythm delay for Cum on feel the noize
I can go on and on....

The MS3 lets you go manual mode which is the same but you can assign whatever you want to each button if you want. I mostly use it that way. Choose a patch for a song, go into that mode then turn on/off effects for different parts.

And my point about the boost / channel switcher is that you would not need to have a channel switcher at all, you would run a cable from the MS3 to the amp and the MS3 would control the amp like the channel switcher does now.

I do not get a commission if you get an MS3 - just clarifying :)

All joking aside when I look at some else's board or set up I ask myself if I could gig with it. In Bob's case, yes I could rock that set up.

Thank you Bruce. You know we roll in the same sonic territory. I could rock out with whatever you might have going too.

If you need something the amp doesn't have, well, then the problem is you! And, If you need an effect the Zoom doesn't have...the problem is still you!

Again - this is live rock band cover stuff. Practical > Uber-tone any day.

Besides, Hands, pickups, and amp are 99% of the tone...every day.

to bruces point, i could gig that board. but i wouldnt step on any of it other than maybe a delay or reverb so id just leave it at home and stick a delay in the loop. the amp is sweet though

I was literally going to the store to buy a 2555 Silver Jubilee. The amp I first plugged Christine into, incidentally. That sound LP + SuperD + Marshall was just soooo right there!

I saw the Stiletto (used), and had heard of them (and Lone Star's), but never actually played one. Anyway, I plugged in, and probably played around for around 45 minutes. Crunch, Tight, Fluid, bold, spongy, etc....Could not make a bad sound with it. I was sold - plus it has a foot-switchable solo boost? Done - no regrets!

If you look at the pic of the board, you can see the zoom is in pedal mode, with delay / chorus /reverb and delay-reverb are on.
