Indeed, it does. This was the first guitar I put that wiring in.

It would have have to be my Gretsch Orange '96 PRS Custom 22. She's the one I take to every gig.

Bought her cheap from a pawn shop. They thought she was an import and I didn't correct them. Pulled the 5 position rotary switch and the Dragon pickups. Put in a three way switch and a set of Duncan Antiquitys with the covers removed.

Did the same thing with my Blue '02 PRS Custom 22 hanging on the right side of the PRS group shot. She's a killer too and the double Cream Antiquitys in her feature a stock A2 neck Antiquity and a bridge Antiquity I modded with a Roughcast A4 magnet.

Love them both. Blue is prettier but OJ is my favorite. A little more resonant.

I hear you Brother! I do the same thing with upgrading electronics right off the bat; everything gets DiMarzio 500k Volume Pots, Fender TBX Tone Pots and 99.99% of the time Seymour Duncan pickups.

That's one fine looking Gold Top. :fing2: If I ever pick up another LP, it'll be a Gold Top/Bullion model; preferably an Early 90's version.

Ever since I got the Gold Top it seems to have the edge over all my other Lesters and guitars all together. Can't explain it but there is some kind of mojo about this guitar.

All stock, setup for .09s with Burstbuckers.

While I alternate between about 4 different guitars, I'd say this one has been my #1 for a while. It's a Mosrite JR style kit build from TheFretwire. I did a hydrodip finish on it. I replaced the not-so-great stock electronics and it has a SD QuarterPound in the bridge and a Guitar Madness Songbird in the neck. The neck and body on the kit were quite good.

Not as nice as the others in this thread, but this is my number one. Seeing/buying this guitar got me back into playing after a hiatus of several years, and it's my go to when learning new things or tweaking stuff.

Amaterasu, my #1 Les Paul, a pre-Historic reissue I bought through Guitar Trader in '83. Super responsive
and sweet-natured. Nice balance of woodiness and sparkle, and completely changes character when she
comes alive at volume. Lots of mileage on her now and she shows it. But her scars were earned in battle.,


Lady Blue, my #1 Strat. Best sounding, best feeling Strat I've ever encountered. Refinished and refretted with jumbos at
some point in the 70s before I bought her, but she was born in October '63. Amazingly lively feel for a maple neck. Epic,
classic voice - for me, the quintessential perfect Strat, I often say, plenty of old guitars have mojo - Lady Blue has magic.


Midnight Angel became my first PRS back in '87 and remains my favorite of the eight PRSs in my stable. This guitar was a revelation
and literally changed the way I approach playing. So much personality, she inspires me in unique ways and over the decades has been
more like a collaborator to me than just a tool. Not fancy to look at, but man does she sing!
