Does his SP1 stay in tune...b/c i gotta be honest mine doesn't stay in tune for crap lol i bought it b/c i am a fan of todd mcfarlanes art work and thought it would be a cool guitar to own...but since it won't stay in tune well due to the crap lo-trs ibanez trem i don't play it often. i think i need to either block the trem or find one to replace it with.

After looking at that pic real closely i can see that it's got a bridge which looks to be a Lo-Pro TRS II type trem, am i right? It should say so on the Low E side of the main bottom plate. (logo and such there) Lo-Pro TRS II's are notorious for not being able to hold tune worth a damn. I had an Ibanez Jem 555 (yeah you can go ahead and laugh) at one point that had one and for every 30 minutes I spent playing it I spent that much time screwing with the bridge to get it to stay the f*** in tune! I eventually sold the whole guitar for half of what it was worth.

If you don't use trems a whole lot just cut up some nice blocks of pallet-grade oak and block that sucka. If you must have a trem I'd look into replacements... www.jemsite.com has a page or two that deals with Lo-TRSII probs.

Re: Let's see your Guitars.

yup its the lo-trCRAP setup on it...i never use the trem i have my other ibanez for that and all my other trem guitars have the trems locked down...i think i'll block the SP1 and see how it is...heck, i might even be able to play the guitar now rather than look at it haha. i checked jemsite a while ago and thought about putting a real floyd in it but i think i'll just block it.

Lack of room and self control is all that's keeping me from more guitars...

:)

Sweet Dano! That's a reissue I take it? I've got relatives that live in Quincy, small world!

Re: Let's see your Guitars.

Fretfire, that's an AWESOME rig. While you may not have the most guitars here, I absolutely love every one you have. Especially the Schecter. But that may be because I've got a C-1 Plus in my hands right now too. ;)

And my guitars can be found through the link in my sig. I don't feel like putting up huge pictures here (the pictures are enormous full-size).
