Jerry is a nice guy, but on occasion he can be a dumble.

I was asked to post in this thread but first I want to say that when I saw it I assumed Jerry was drunk posting again...it was sad and pointless. I still believe that is the case but since Jerry asked me in another thread to post in this thread I decided I'd pop in and give my opinion...since I see nothing humorous about a grown man, drunk in his underwear posting nonsense about things he really has no idea about I'm going to give an honest opinion of Dumble amps...
I hate 'em...
The Dumble SSS is a good tool for guys that play MEGA loud and can't get enough headroom from a Twin Reverb, Dual Showman or Marshall Major.
The Dumble ODS is a sound that for starters has never really impressed me and frankly I have grown VERY tired of hearing...both the originals and it's dozens of clones.
I find Dumbles to be very stiff, overly compressed in a rather non musical way, the midrange sounds artificial and congested and the sound of the overdrive is very one dimensional to me.
FWIW, my opinion of the ODS sound is based on playing a real Dumble ODS at a guitar show years ago...I wasn't impressed then and I am not impressed now.
Meh, get a proper amp ... a Trainwreck.
