OK. I just bought an Agile AL-3000 Les Paul Goldtop copy. I am VERY happy with it. Looks great, plays great and really does sound great with the stock pickups. I know that it woudl sound better with a little Seymour lovin'. What wouldn't? Anyway, I wanted to get some feedback from everyone on what I should drop in. I asked a similar question eons ago and was told that a Custom in the Bridge and a Vintage in the neck would be the ideal. I am fine with that but I wanted to get an updated opinion.
I have several Humbucker guitars and I LOVE the bite of the P-90s. I want to preserve that rude bite with these new pickups. I just want to be sure that when I cange the pickups, I can still hear the distinct differnce that the P-90 brings.
I play most anything from classic rock to blues to indy. I don't think that I am into the stacked P-90 idea. I am going for raw and I don't mind a little hum.
Rock on.
