Let's talk pedals

Re: Let's talk pedals

been there done that! actually it was a frontman 212r.

I have a friend that plays in a worship band and he uses the metalzone for leads, he gets some good tones. Tho like someone said earlier, the hm2 is where it's at. But that one is much more expensive

Its ok that amp is miles better than the amp I started with (old carpet covered Yorkville Bass combo)

I have heard some people use the Metal zone for its EQ and have the gain off completely.. whether or not they modded it to get rid of all gain I can't remember but they said it was a lot like the Parametric EQ Boss pedal that is expensive used now online.

Re: Let's talk pedals

NEVER be afraid to turn the gain DOWN on an uber dirt box. Might be surprised at the tone you find.

Yep. Lower the gain a lot (10hs or less on the gain knob), boost the mids and cut bass & treble. Very usable sounds using this pedal this way.

Re: Let's talk pedals

I "like" my MT2 with all knobs at noon, 'cept gain at 10 o'clock. Only useable setting for me.
IMO, the MT2 has potential but the EQ is very nasty(or nasally).
Any of you recommend a dirt pedal with the compression and gain of the MT2 without it's nasally character??
