It falls somewhere between Gibson's fat '50's style neck and the '60's slim taper. Unfortunately, Gibson does not classify the size on SG's like they do on LP's.
If you're serious about buying and would like precise measurments I have a set of digial calipers at home. Let me know specifically what areas you would like measured and I'd be happy to respond.

I can tell from what you just said, its not going to be big enough for me, but thanks for the offer. The sg standard, and special necks vary alot. Some are baseball bats, and each year gibson changes the spec in their literature. I had a faded special that was over .950 at the nut tapered up quck to an inch and carried it thru th entire neck.. Ive handled standards that were also that chunky, but they are not common, and seem to be most prevalant in the mid 2k model years.

No problem, I understand.
I tend to lean towards slimmer necks, myself. Its not as slim and flat like a 60's, but definetely not fat, 'baseball bat' that others prefer.
I've got a couple of LP's with the fat necks. My hands get fatigued very quickly. This SG is NOT that. I could play her all day long.

...unless the buyer is outside US. International gift paypalling usually puts the fee on the buyers end. Since you plan to sell this within US, no big deal, but you never know.
