Was in my favorite shop today visiting. One of the customers came in was talking with me about guitars, I had mentioned to him I have a Godin Progression on order he said man those are great guitars. He told me he had purchased the Godin LGXT said he loves it!! I am getting anxious about getting mine, Its now week #9 they said it would be 8-12 weeks for delivery. Will send in some pics when I get her.;)

Re: LGXT

Are they building it? How come it takes so long? Man, I really want a Montreal Premiere.

Re: LGXT

Could of bought the Sunburst one they had in the shop where I tried one out. For me not a chance wanted the Trans Cream. When I was in the shop yesterday was just quickly looking at some of the Godins they had on display I think they had a Montreal Premiere on the rack. The Plants were closed down last two weeks of July for vacation they started back Aug 7th that's the day mine was ordered I guess they are playing catch up.

Re: LGXT

If you potential Godin buyers come across what Godin calls a "SF", don't just pass it by without taking a look. That's what they call their blems. They are usually very minor finish flaws or a small imperfection in the wood grain that didn't take the color perfectly. Sometimes it can be more but often they are very hard to notice. You can sometimes save a good chunk of money if you can live with slightly less than perfect.

Would this be part of the model number, or something stamped on the guitar?

I don't recall if it is listed on a quality control sheet ( I think it is) but it's not stamped into the guitar. And, a dealer should advertise it as such. An honest one anyway. Check out upfront guitars website for an example. They are a pretty big Godin dealer. Check through their list of Godin's and you'll come across some of the "sf" guitars. http://www.upfrontguitars.com/Godin-Guitars-and-Basses/

Re: LGXT

Yeah, I don't know how honest dealers are about these things. I'd think most salespeople wouldn't even know as the dealer might not disclose that to them.
