Liberator and phase switch

Hi there,

I want a single coil switch AND a phase switch for my bridge so I can coilcut and phase switch my bridge. Also nice that the phase switch will select the coil in coicut :22: My question is if I can just take the green and black from the bridgepickup coming out the liberator and use them as regular phase switch. The reason I ask is that in the diagram it states that you must join all green and gray en just insulate.... That would mean they are pre grounded because in a normal setup you'd join them and solder them to the ground.

Are my assumptions right?

Thanks!!!

Re: Liberator and phase switch

Green is not Pre-grounded, it just catches ground from gray, which is hard plugged to ground. Just take the green wire where it needs to go for your phase switching.

Thanks!!

I got a 2C '59. What is the best way to use this with the liberator? Solder it to the volume pot or screw it in the liberator?

Offtopic, but still...

You could do either, but the whole point of the Liberator is to be able to change pickups without soldering.

Re: Liberator and phase switch

Well, I stated my questoin wrong :smack:

I was wondering more how to connect the 2C '59 to the liberator since it is braided insulation. I fixed it by soldering an extra wire to the braided outside and connect this to the gray input on the liberator. The inside wire I connect to the black input on the liberator. Does NE1 have a better idea?
