I just finished installing a liberator inmy Ibanez Saber. It was a tight given that everthing (two pots, 5-way, and jack) isl located in the small cavity. It took me a while to figure a few things out. But after installing it I was able to install my old pickup, then swap two others, and test a bit in about 1 hour.
Some notes
1. it appears (and makes sense) that the grey and green wires are all to ground.
2. they provide a screw driver that is a tight fit but works great.
3. The solder pad are excellent. (too bad all pots didn't have some pads)
4. I wired all my control for auto-splits acording to Duncans wiring diagrams. Just follow their typical color scheme.
5. When installing non-Duncan pickups just transpose their color scheme to Duncans.
6. pickup changes can be made using the autosplit or not just by how you slip the wires into the connectors on the Liberator.
7. SWAPS ARE A PIECE OF CAKE
This is a very nice product if you want to swap pickup often. They are high quality and the sound is just like anything else. I don't mind soldering at all, but this is a no brainer for swaps. Loosen the strings, screws, connections, pull out, put in tighten, was and repeat.
