In short, while researching Brobucker alternatives, I came across a pickup whose potential I recognized. In fact, Ibanez had used this for years as a neck pickup in flagship models like the RG550/570. The Ibanez V7. It has around 9-10K windings, and from the fullness of the coils, I estimate it’s wound with AWG 42 wires. It comes with a long-legged nickel silver baseplate and wooden spacers. The only things missing were an Alnico 2 magnet and standard screws, which I added. In my opinion, it turned into a very sweet bridge pickup.
