I've had a Seth Lover set in my 1960 Classic just as an earlier poster mentioned. They were the solution to finding the right pickups for this 19 year-old guitar. I can understand some not thinking highly of them. It could be that they are not the best choice for some forms of guitar Rock of Metal music. I like them for their clear tone and versatility. They work for more than one music genre for me. I just like the idea of driving a gainy amp with lower wind pickups. I have an Orange Dark Terror and when using the Seths, I am able to utilize more of this amp's gain structure (or gain range) than I would be able to with a more over wound pickup pair.
