I remember the days when you took the gold covered pickups out of the custom and put them in the Strat... that looked good...

As for the Ibanez, didn't youi have a Dime in the bridge once upon a time?

And that Custom looks freakin' amazing... i will steal that guitar from you one day! (alternatively, i don't mind paying!).

And i actually think it'll look better with the pickups as they are, rather than with nickel covers...

Sometimes, less is more, and more is over the top.

Cold, yet glassy and sleek. It's a beauty, don't you even think about selling that thing unless it's to me.

It's a looker. Why would I sell a good looking guitar like this? She is right next to me now facing me.

I like it. At least it's all reversible, should you change your mind. My 3 pickup LP
looks great, but I considered a pickguard I saw on Ebay. Did you see those gothic
LP pickguards someone is selling? One in silver and black would make the final touch on that guitar! I thought about getting the black/gold one. You can always change it if you don't like it. One question. Why is your truss rod cover backwards.
I'd flip that around. I like the nickel on Black Customs. Looks like a 68 Reissue.

I think I was inspired by 68RI. Maybe I should get Antiquity set for that. Then again I want it to be little bit unique ...

I haven't heard about the pickguard. Any link?

Ha. You have a great taste. That strat is pretty awesome. I built from Warmoth body and USA custom neck. CC ROCKS in that guitar.

NOW I am too old for Dime. Can't handle the power. The Ibanez got PAF classic neck (incredible) and AirZone.

I remember that you insisted that I should give my custom to you for free. Well, I can't let her go since she is HOT!

Brisk. I love that strat, too. I like your Custom exactly as it is, although I'd flip that trussrod cover around. Here's a picture of that pickguard I was talking about. You may not dig it, but a silver/black one, along with your black pickups and chrome rings would add some unique class, and make it less plain. Just a thought. Only $13 too!

Very nice Brisk. Makes me regret selling my '70 black Custom. :smack: The chrome rings and mirror dish knobs just make it. I remember flipping my truss cover like that long ago...don't really know why I did.

flip the truss rod cover back, and i think its beautiful. crome on black like that is very classy. perhaps the only thing that could make it more classy would be a white pearl pickguard.

Thanks brother. I flipped the trussrod cover around. I even didn't noticed it was flipped. The pickguard looked wicked! That's gonna turn my guitar to some kind of witchcraft tool! Thanks for the link.

I am going to try nikel covered humbuckers next.

I agree that it's the knobs that give the classic look. The rings are from stewmac.

Brisk. What do you think of that pickguard? Do you like it, or not. I like it in that picture, but wonder if it's too aftermarket or busy looking on a classic guitar. I dunno.

I think a nickel C-5/59 with the original black rings would look good, but maybe too much like the 68. You should just leave it like you have it for awhile, till you really want a change.
