Lil 59 and JBJR in strat

Hey guys,
What kind of sound should I expect if a replace my stock neck and brdge pickups in my american made strat with a JBjr in the bridge and Lil 59 in the neck. I will be leaving the middle single coil and splitting the 2 and 4 positions.
Also, what ohm pots should I use?
I am wanting to retain the strat 2 and 4 sounds while having a full bridge sound for overdrven leads and a bassy full sound in the neck for clean chords and old paf style overdrivne leads.

You should expect to lose a bit of your strat tone for sure. Hmm.... I'd leave the pots alone. Don't want to screw up yourmiddle strat pup.

You'll definitely get some humbucker tones outof it, just don't expect your strat to start sounding like a Les Paul. It can give you a lot of versatility though. Have fun. There ought to be a schematic on this site somewhere. Let me go look at it and see if Seymour and the gang agree with my statement on the 250k pot.

I've got a Warmoth partsocaster (swamp ash body, pao ferro/maple neck)with a JB Jr. (bridge), Vintage Rails (mid) and Li'l 59er (neck)... which is roughly the setup you are looking at (minus the Vintage Rails, of course).

It's a very versatile layout, but definitely not your classic Strat sound by any means... More like a PRS Swamp Ash Special (if we have to point fingers), but not as sharp in the bridge position. The Li'l 59er is pure smoothness, and just as good as the JB for leads; I play this guitar through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, and it sounds fantastic (I'm obviously very biased here).

I forget what pots I used, but I think I used 500K pots (the reasoning being that their output is similar or closer to that of a humbucker rather than a single coil).

I love the JB/59 combo so much that I put together a true humbucker JB/59 setup that I'm going to drop into my '93 American Standard Strat!
