lil 59 or ...

I had the single coil texas hots in the bridge in my strat and found it way to bright. I just installed the lil59 and I like it much better.
I just saw the strat and pearl gate sound in the custom shop for double the price. I am wondering if anyone here has ever had the chance to compare the lil PG to the lil59???

Theodie once loaned me a Custom shop "Lil" pup. I believe it was a Lil PG. If I recall, I liked it, but I liked the Lil 59 better. The PG just seemed to be thinner. Since it was a loan, I may not have given it as long of a workout as I should have. I recall thinking to myself that it wasn't worth the extra "custom shop" premium over the Lil 59.

But thats just me, and I'm strictly a bedroom wanker. YMMV.
