SOLD! TO FUSION1

Ok - so I sold my mini hums.

Next up on the auction block from my box of unused pups:

Seymour Duncan Lil '59 for Strat, white
about 9" of lead wire left
YOURS for $35
This is the "old" version with the tape.. not the plastic cover.
note: you may need to mofify your pickguard hole a little to this through, the ends aren't as "rounded" as regular Strat pickups.

But wait.. there's more!

The lucky buyer will also receive 1 Duncan Perfomer "Great White Snark" Strat pup.. I had this thing in a crappy guitar for a second.. I can't remember what it even sounds like.. although I'm sure it's better than a stock ceramic bar Squier pickup.. it does actually have magnet poles of some kind.

Continental USA only. Includes shipping.

I believe it's bridge position.. I didn't think there was a neck position version of the lil 59? is there?

Re: Lil '59 - plus bonus freebie!

The SL59-1b is bridge and the SL59-1N is neck. The older ones such as yours had a little white sticker on the bottom that either has 59B or 59N. Which position did you use it in and did you have any issues with the strings and pole magnets lining up?

Re: Lil '59 - plus bonus freebie!

There's no sticker underneath but it's a bridge pickup. I found the original box and it is marked as such. In any case I used it in the bridge of my Strat for a while and it sounds great - definitely ballsier than the single coils. I took it out because I wanted a more traditional Strat sound.. and I have Gibsons for the humbucker sound.

It's been a while since I've had it in a guitar but no issue with it lining up or anything - since it's angled, I think only one pole is under the high and low E strings, but that's how it's supposed to be.

As I mentioned in my original post, you may have to file out the pickup hole in your pickguard to get it to fit.. this was a problem with the original Lil pickups. I believe the newer design with the plastic covers avoids this.
