Lil 59 polepiece tweaks

great forum !

I searched for this topic but found nothing specific for tweaking Lil'59 polepieces in particular

do any of you Lil 59 owners adjust them any higher, for example, up a bit for the D and G strings?

I do radius the posts on the lil/jr series pickups, just a bit. I don't know that I follow the neck radius exactly, but they do get tweaked a bit in the middle.

I set up a customers Lil '59 to a vintage Strat pickup stagger one time. It was divided by three since the Lil series are a third the size of a regular strat pole piece. I set one side up for righty then the other side up for lefty. Got a REALLY cool sound out of it. Alot more "Strat on steriods" kind of sound than a humbucker.

Can you direct me to any links to the different styles of polepiece staggering? Is there a reference somewhere?

BEANDIP- you mean that the two sides of the pickup were like mirrored but opposite?

Yup Al, they were mirror images of eachother. I think the Duncan Ant page show the stagger measurments. Just get those and divide by 3.
