Lil 59 tele + Phat Cat: Split or parallel push pull?

I'm getting a lil 59 Tele in a few weeks to pair with Phat Cat in the neck and I'm thinking whether to wire the 59 to split or to go parallel.

Split will give me hum-free in the middle position, parallel will give me no hum in the single bridge position... Thoughts? I heard the lil 59 likes parallel much better than split..

(PS I have the JD in there now and I'm not in love with the middle position, the individual pickups sound much better to me)

I usually like split humbuckers better, but the side-by-side single-sized humbuckers really do sound great in parallel. That's what I would do. But this is fairly easy to test out yourself, you might like split better.
