Re: Limited edition duncans at musicians enemy!!

Here is a quick follow up that should help resolve any issues on the Alnico II
and Alnico V magnet mix-up. As Billy Gill stated in his post there will be 150 sets
made for each option.

Alnico II fans will need to order item # 300080 (now in stock)
Alnico V fans will need to order item # 300301 (available in about 4 weeks)

Thanks everyone for your patience.

Sincerely,
Brad Hochstetler

No thanks this whole affair kinda turned me off to SD & MF...but I did put that $1200 to good use, bought another WCR Goodwood/Shredder set and got $850 left over for GAS!

Nothing like an LP with that monster combo in it! :smoker:

Both SD and MF have recognized the problem and offered a fair remedy, I don't know how anyone could still hold a grudge after all of this.

No grudge, I just wanna know I'm getting what I paid for.

Jim Wagner stands by his stuff cause he makes em and IMO there are very few PU makers that are even in the same league.

Once you get your hands on any WCR pickup you will understand.

No matter the motivation, this is unnecessary. Let's try and keep it respectful, even if you think others aren't. No need to retaliate and make it that much worse.

I still don't see why people are staying so worked up over this. The responsible parties have stepped up and apologized. Stuff happens, let's move on already. If it really bothers you badly enough to make you swear off SD forever, so be it (though I think you're missing out on a great product/company for a somewhat silly reason). I don't see how one or two overly disgruntled people carrying something like this too far will hurt SD much at all, I know they hate to see people go but...

Re: Limited edition duncans at musicians enemy!!

OK guys, I haven't weighed in on this thread, but at this point it's pretty much played out. Dead. Crispy. Toast.

Except for those who want to revive it and give us a little stick-in-the-ribs.

We messed up. That means our butt is sticking out there, and anyone who wants to come by can kick it as hard as they want. That's OK. We set up the rules of this forum that way.

But it's starting to get old. Notice how this thread still gets more views than the one where folks are actually talking about how the 50th Anniversary pickups actually sound?

What does that say?

So, kick away if you like. That's your right. But dude, it's starting to get a little old.

^ Agreed, we know who does/doesn't like it, let's get on with things.
