Line 6 amp cleans + OD/Distortion pedals?

Does Line 6's clean amp models sound good with external FX pedals? Particularly OD/Distortion ones.

No. OD's usually sound their worst plugged into a clean SS amp. Usually the worst tones that modeling amps make are the midgain tone. They usually do clean and highgain very well, but lack the complexity needed for good medium gain tones.
For all shades of gain, modeling amps sound best when you use their built in gain and pedal models.

Jolly's Line6 AX2-212 has some awesome clean tones soft and loud.
