Is it as good as the countless college kids playing at local bars on a Thursday night want me to believe?

Lots of pros I've seen have one on their boards. I don't have one, but I see it so often on other people's boards, it's clear it must be a satisfactory workhorse.

It is fantastic. Get the mkII version, and you won't have to replace the switches every year...plus, it does everything the original does and a whole lot more. There is a reason why it is so popular. You get up to 6 presets, so no worries about the knobs shifting at a gig..that's simply not something that happens.

Yes it is. I jones hard for one. As said - Mark 2 is awesome upgrade from everything I understand.

Mark 2 adds a mic input, 12 more delays (in addition to the original 12), 12 reverbs that can be used with the delays, 3 more presets, 1 button looper, smaller footprint, better switches and more loop time. Don't consider the 1st version unless you find an amazing deal (you will most likely have to replace the switches on an old one, though).

You could always re-load the preset and the knobs are back to how you saved em (of you rock that hard).

Yeah, Honestly the big issue was switch failure -worst design -either me over time -or other people climbing on stage and stepping on the giant sized pedal, and minor enough the knobs are loose that freestyling on the knobs with noise from the pedal was sometime easy to over shoot.
