Line 6 G50 wireless system

Re: Line 6 G50 wireless system

Hmmm... My Sennheiser unit went south recently, and I ordered a closeout X2 system from American Musical Supply. It may not be as good as the G50, but it only cost me $110. I guess I'll post a review when it gets here (hopefully tomorrow).

That's a great deal...I believe you are loving it!

Re: Line 6 G50 wireless system

Cakire,

I don't know if the relay series replaced the X2 series as much as the relay series is a technological improvement. The relay series broadcasts in the WiFi range (2.4 GHz) where as the X2 series is in the more cluttered UHF (800-900MHz) range. Supposedly the relay series uses digital encoding to virtually eliminate the chance of accidently picking up a different signal during use.

I am interested to see the OP's feelings as I have been looking at the Line 6 relay series and the Brace Audio DWG-1000 wireless units.

Hi, I own an X2 and it is in the 902 MHz to 928 MHz range, but it's FSK is different than analog units working in the analog world and I've NEVER had interference, in four different states in large cities, where RF crowding is most likely. AT $130, it's the deal of the year! I've not used the G30 (which seems to be close to the X2 design repackaged). I'd love to hear from some G30 users.
Thanks,
Dave
